Project Implementation Unit - Emergency Agriculture Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project (EALCRP)
The Emergency Agriculture Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project (EALCRP), established by Cabinet Decision # 297 of March 20, 2018. The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to contribute to restoring agricultural livelihoods and enhancing climate resilience of farmers and fisherfolk affected by Hurricane Maria in Dominica. The project has the following key components:
- Component A: Restoration of the Productive Base for Recovery of Agricultural Livelihoods;
- Component B: Restoration of Key Productive Infrastructure and Institutional Strengthening);
- Component C: Project Management and Coordination; and
- Component D: CERC. The total project cost is $29.5 million, of which $25 million is IDA Grant/Credit.
The project will be implemented over the period of five years. The project was approved by Bank Board on April 13, 2018, the Financing Agreement was signed on May 9, 2018 and the project became effective on October 9, 2018.
