Importation of plants, planting material, live animals, meat and meat products is regulated under various ordinances of the law. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is charged with the responsibility of issuing import permits to individuals and businesses wishing to import any of the above mentioned items. These services are provided through the VET and Livestock Development Unit and the Plant Protection and Quarantine Unit of the Division of Agriculture.
