The Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM) is an EU funded programme set to address the underlying weakness in the agricultural sector relating to commercial competitiveness and low productivity, through strengthening of entrepreneurial and technological development and innovation, implementation of quality standards , improvement of physical infrastructure, development of agricultural information systems and enhancement of risk management systems.

Poultry and Pork Project and Multi-purpose Abattoir

The company, Organizacion de Servicios Generiales of Venezuela has been consulted to design and build  the multi-purpose abattoir on 6.11 acres of land at Layou Park. The visit of 22nd and 23rd November 2010 was considered as the starting of this project. The project will cover the design, procurement, construction and start up of the abattoir.

The abattoir project will be developed under the standards of the European Union.
